What is Sports Cardiology?
2025.7.17 8:30 - 10:00
Room 13 (Osaka International Convention Center)
Language: Japanese / English
In Japan, the field of sports cardiology is not well-developed. Patients who have undergone PCI or experienced an AMI often ask if they can participate in sports. However, the question remains: to what extent is it possible? In this session,Dr. Ehara, an interventionalist and rehabilitation physician, presents the current state of sports cardiology in Japan and how patients are managed. From Singapore, we would like to hear from a sports cardiologist with experience treating football players in the UK. Finally, Dr. Nakama, president of a boxing association and an interventionalist, shares his insights from his perspective. Together, let’s explore how interventionalists can contribute to the future of sports cardiology.

Japan’s Dawn of Venous Therapy: Indications and Interventions
2025.7.19 11:20 - 12:20
Room 17 (RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka)
Language: Japanese / English
With the introduction of thrombectomy devices in Japan in April 2023 and the reimbursement of venous stents in December 2024, venous intervention therapy has made significant strides forward.
As a result, patient selection and evaluation have become more critical than ever in formulating treatment strategies for patients with venous diseases.
In this program, we will explore the initial steps of treatment processes and strategies adopted by international experts and leading Post-Marketing Surveillance facilities. We will delve into how these experts and facilities approach treatment and develop their therapeutic strategies.

Current status of the left main trunk treatments
2025.7.17 14:55 - 16:25

Needless to say, the left main trunk (LMT) bifurcation lesion is the most important bifurcation lesion. In the past, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) was the mainstay of revascularization due to risks and chronic outcomes, but with the advent and evolution of drug-eluting stents, revascularization by PCI has increased. In this session, experts will present the current outcomes of PCI and CABG for LMT bifurcation lesions, as well as tips and tricks for treating these lesions with PCI.

Will the tip detection method change the CTO PCI algorithms?
2025.7.17 16:00 - 17:30
Room 2 (Osaka International Convention Center)
Language: English
Tip detection method has been found to be capable of high-precision ADR, and its use is accelerating. However, it also has the disadvantage of requiring IVUS insertion into the CTO lesion antegradly. We will discuss how the TD method will influence the current algorithms of CTO PCI.

TTT@CVIT2025: IVL challenges
2025.7.18 8:00 - 9:30
Room 4 (Osaka International Conference Center)
Language: English
IVL has emerged as an approach other than debulking for calcified lesions. Several years have passed since its introduction, and much experience in its use has been accumulated, including overseas. In this session, we will discuss the theme of IVL in a joint session with TTT. Specifically, we plan to hold lectures and discussions on IVL surgical planning using imaging diagnosis, how to deal with cases where IVL is difficult to pass, and the challenges of IVL for calcified nodules. In addition, we plan to have representatives from TTT and CVIT each present cases in which IVL was effective, and to discuss the possibilities of IVL in a wide range. We believe that this session will not only be a place for exchange as a joint session, but also be useful in daily clinical practice, focusing on IVL. We look forward to your participation.
